I am very lucky to live a 10 minute walk away from a zero waste post office in Bristol which sells lots of refillable 'Faith in Nature' hair and body products. You can take any used container there to stock up on shampoo, conditioner and shower gel etc. They also sell bamboo toothbrushes and cotton buds. I'm making a move to washable face cloths and makeup pads, also from the post office.

Wow! What a fantastic opportunity… I have very recently had the pleasure of doing the makeup for Caroline Lucas for the Green Party Political broadcast. I have actually looked after Caroline before on the BBC show ‘QuestionTime’ so was delighted to meet her again last week.

Have you seen the Channel 5 show ‘The Hotel Inspector’? Well, I have and I love it. Actually, I love Alex Polizzi who presents it. 

Alex Polizzi is a successful Hotelier who helps struggling establishments improve their business. Each episode she stays in a rundown hotel or Bed and Breakfast and gives them help on how best to improve their service from the decor to staff management.

When Sarah, from ‘Sarah and Sorrentino’ got in touch to ask if I would like to do the hair styling and makeup for her new swimwear collection, I was extremely excited. Sarah is a fashion designer specialising in swimwear and beachwear. Her fabulous prints are bold and she mixes geometric shapes with florals in bright colours.

Shooting fashion is pretty rare for me as I tend to do more lifestyle and advertising work in Bristol. There’s not a huge fashion industry in the west country so I generally don’t have this opportunity as much as I would like.

When I got the call to design the hair and makeup for the Channel 4 factual drama about the police’s interrogation of Tony Martin, I was extremely excited.

The script for ‘The Interrogation of Tony Martin’ was compelling and definitely a project I wanted to be involved in.

The drama stars Steve Pemberton who plays Tony Martin, the Norfolk farmer who shot dead a burglar in 1999.
